Powerful Green Smoothie for Breakfast

If you don’t like to eat green vegetables but want to get the nutrients try this powerful green smoothie. You won’t even be able to taste the spinach, it is a sweet and nutritious way to start the day.

This green smoothie is filling and packed with powerful nutrients from the low calorie spinach. It helps to lower inflammation in the body and the protein will increase muscle mass.

This is super easy to make! Put all the ingredients, except the cacao nibs, in a blender.

Shake it so everything gets a little wet. Then, blend until it’s nice and smooth.

I like to start my day with a powerful breakfast, and I like to fill my mind with powerful words. Recently, I got into meditation, and it has helped me clear my head. It feels really good to take a little time for myself and meditate. Note: Cacao nibs are roasted cacao beans that have been broken up into pieces. They are high in antioxidants which can help ward off cancer. The unsweetened cacao nibs are a little bitter so you may want to get the nibs sweetened with stevia.

POWERFUL GREEN SMOOTHIE FOR BREAKFAST

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 1

Ingredients (for 1)

  • 1/2 Cup Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1 Banana
  • 1/4 Avocado
  • 2 tbsp. Non-fat Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. Stevia
  • 2 Handfuls of Spinach
  • 1/8 Cup Water
  • 1 tbsp. Cacao Nibs

Instructions

  1. Add everything to a blender (except the cacao nibs).
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass or travel cup to drink on the way to work.
  4. Sprinkle with cacao nibs.

Do you like a thicker smoothie? Add ice or Greek yogurt.

Are you dairy-free? Substitute yogurt for tofu.
